just arrived are these gorgeous handthrown porcelain cups, $28 each,
by comptche, california's elizabeth benotti.
the inlaid carvings in the cup design are made with a japanese technique called 'mishima'.
in person they have tiny details that make them all individually interesting.
benotti makes the glazes herself.
i am a sucker for handmade dishes..it is very difficult not to keep these beauties for myself..
